Our Chief Park Ranger is Stuart Draper. Everyone calls him Stu.
Here are 8 things you should know about him:
1.) He LOVES God. He actually voluntarily preached the gospel for two
years in Argentina.
2.) He LOVES his family. Married for 20 years to his wife Lindsey. He
has two sons and two daughters.
3.) He LOVES baseball. Stu ran around around baseball parks from the
time he was a toddler. He played on a state championship high school
team in Washington state.
4.) He LOVES coaching baseball. He has coached the Idaho Falls Barn
Bombers and started a new baseball club for travel ball teams.
5.) He LOVES mixing travel experiences with baseball. When he took his
team to Omaha for the SlumpBuster, they also saw Mt. Rushmore and the
Omaha Zoo. When he took his team to Cooperstown, they saw Niagara
Falls and Palmyra, NY on the way there. When he took his team to
Phoenix for a Perfect Game tournament, they went to Spring Training
games.
6.) He LOVES the mountains. He has summited the Middle Teton which you
can see from the baseball park.
7.) He LOVES the national parks. He has a goal to visit all 63.
8.) He LOVES animals. He has seen bears, bison, moose, elk, etc. up
close and personal on multiple occasions.
